From my view of the world I can tell the people are separated by boundaries, limits and ideas.
My collection was created as a reaction to currents events happening in the world. With this in mind I look to dismantle the separating elements and create a new fantasy world using deconstruction and reconstructions of flags of the world. I dismantled the flags to a list of colors and shapes, that each represent a value in the culture from which they arise.
If fashion can communicate ideas, by creating new flags - cloths, I can bring out the idea that all of the colors and symbols can come together in a new harmonious composition to create an image that every person can relate to at least one element within. I created new flag cloths via pattern development, color combination and textiles I have made.
My collection is a colorful streetwear and I used iconic elements like bomber jacket, leather jacket, a pair of denim jeans, men's shirt, white shirt etc. The collection is made out of wools, denims, knitted fabrics, nylons, leathers and mesh. It has digital printing, flex printing, industrial knit, industrial embroidery and patches.
"It is difficult to assume that Bodenheimer's title on the weight of "workers of the world unite" - a slogan, from the manifesto written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1848, does not stem from a firm personal ideology, profound thought and political and social statement\\
Indeed, as it is understood, she cares and therefore chose to relate to what is happening in the world today, when man is not considered but defined by countries and borders, symbols and flags. Like the decisiveness in which she conveyed her statements, she also broke down stereotypical images and fixed importance that led to the creation of a special and colorful final collection\\
Bodenheimer composed various materials, shapes and colors, and created clothes in a new look. This is perhaps the strongest collection in the graduates' gallery, and not only because of the creative facade that blends with the spirit of contemporary fashion, but mainly because of the courageous thinking and bold slogans through which Bodenheimer connected divided borders, flags and symbols to a creative collage in a better and better human fabric\\"
